How to do a JK update

Have the merchant exit JK Restaurant. Hit the exit button, then the windows button to get back to windows. After getting back to windows, have the merchant hit the window key and R at the same time. Input C:\JKRestaurant\Update.exe /ab into the run tab and hit enter.

Have the merchant exit JK Retail. Hit the exit button, then the windows button to get back to windows.

After getting back to windows, have the merchant hit the window key and R at the same time. Input C:\JKRetail\Update.exe /ab into the run tab and hit enter.

How to batch out

Hit the management button.

 You are then going to hit the batch settlement button. Keep in mind JK Restaurant will not batch out if the tips are not settled

You are going to have them go to the operation tab located at the top of the page. Then hit the Batch Settle button.

Tip Settlement

Have the merchant click on the Management button. Then Click on the Tip Settlement button.

Hit the Select All button in the bottom left corner, followed by hitting the settle tip button in the middle of the screen. Then hit done.

Adding items

Have the merchant click on the management button on the main screen. Under the management screen, click on the inventory tab. Hit the Items button in the top left corner.

Hit the add item button that is circled in the picture above.

After they have to the option to enter in their Item by scanning it in, by selecting the UPC tab then scanning the Item in with a scan gun.

They can also enter their items in manually, by highlighting the name of the Item and typing it in.

Adding Inventory

Have the merchant click on the setup button.

 Click on the them Menu icon.

Click add items button highlighted in the picture above. If it is not an item that goes specific category. Click on the category then hit the add item button highlighted. If going into a specific category.

Making a Sale

Have the merchant click on the Orders button.  

Click on the quick order tab that is highlighted in the picture above.

If the Sale you are trying to do is inventory click on that item, then hit the payment button in top right.

That will bring you to the payout screen, it will give you a choice of how you would like to pay. In this case its cash or credit.

Have the merchant click on the sales button.

Once your in the sales window, you have the option of using a scan gun or hitting the open item. After using ether option, hit the green total button in the lower right corner.

The total button will bring you to this screen, giving you the option to pay by cash credit.

How to troubleshoot a cash draw

Cash draw is not opening, one of the more common fixes for this is cabling. Make sure that the wire is plugged into the respective spots, printer cable goes into the printer and cash draw goes into cash draw.

The Cash draw wont open if there is no paper in the printer.
